Wow, sorry for not noticing this Comment Wall before. I really appreciate your comments! I must say, this site (I know I shouldn't brag) has the most interesting assortment of minds than any community I have yet known, and I have been to a number. I find it amazing how much we tend to look at things alike, in terms of compassion and whatnot.

One thing with me, though, is that I am very much an individualist. And although I have sacrificed much, too much, of myself out of compassion over the years, at the same time I love my own personal time, space and freedoms. I feel rather selfish when people start talking about the many mattering over the few and so forth (even though I agree to an extent -- I don't at this point in time believe that the self is altogether a lie.) I do believe that the ego is a lie, but much of it (most of it) is supported through social BS rather than through individual pursuits, I feel. When you really listen to yourself you learn to love, forgive, take risks for what is right, and to appreciate your connection to nature and the Earth.

I have long had an attitude against authority figures, including teachers. But in recent years I am seeing teaching through a different light. Not only was the closest thing I've ever had to a mentor, the late Joseph Campbell, a teacher, but I have learned to appreciate the value of education. The problem is, the schools and institutions of the modern world usually focus on material facts and less on the hows, whys and therefores. We need teachers, educators, but ones to guide, encourage and inspire rather than judge, belittle and lecture. Subjects like (real) history, mythology, philosophy and spiritualism (which is disgustingly divided into -isms and -ities for my taste) need to be taught more (one thing I loved about Campbell was how he outlined the striking similarities between religions.) But a perfect living example of what I mean is Michael Tsarion. He's honest, practical, deep and discusses the subjects you never dreamed of hearing in school. But learning is important, I just disagree with the institutional atmosphere of school.

Anyway, I think the self is a beautiful thing, like a petal on a flower; it helps make a flower whole, and its beauty stands alone yet greater beauty blossoms from its collaboration as part of a larger form of life. One might however examine the flower and forget the value of the pedal, unless it was removed.

Hi Greg,

Your profile is quite interesting.

Our commitment to stay connected and listen to higher consciousness is so important.
It takes great courage to detach ourselves from the lower energies of mass consciousness.
The ego reproduces limiting patterns of fear, the need to control all outcomes and disillusionment.

We must rise above the clutter and take responsibility for the present moment, and our future!

Blessings to Humanity,
Steven

Dearest ((((((((((((((((Greg))))))))))))))
I agree absolutely with all u have said in your profile. Our loves and feelings are a carbon copy of each other and i would be thrilled to share a friendship and profound discussions. I too, NEVER stop thinking, not even in my sleep. I always dream, always remember my dreams and many times in dreaming, i am either teaching or discussing with other teachers, or being taught by great minds whom have passed over. Like u, i think too much and am always analysing myself and others, always standing aside from myself as observer. In addition, when i met people, i not only hear what they are telling me verbally, i can also hear their thoughts. Sometimes this can be extremely confronting.
However, it is a comfort to me that the me and I the soul of Elaine are hand in hand as one.
Love & Massive Hugs
Elaine

Profile Information

TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF
I'm an unpublished fantasy author. I have been writing fantasy since my childhood and it has gotten me through more than I could ever say. All my life I have deeply resented the system, for how it restrains us, attempts to break us down and build us back up, and ultimately how it is a war on the Human soul. Supposedly it serves the rich, but their role in it damages them as well. The only sanity one can have in this world at this time is in taking a stand against the system. It isn't easy, but it's the only sane choice (your heart and intuition will tell you.) I have also experienced spiritual, paranormal and outer-body experiences all my life. I am an outsider, I am an observer, I am an over-thinker, I am very compassionate yet self-interested, I am sometimes too timid and sometimes too bold, and I love nature -- the woods most especially. And writing poetry, feeling my consciousness drift within the warm, welcoming magic of nature. We have lost our way, and all my life I have asked myself, why? I still don't know, and lately I am beginning to think it may not even matter. What does matter is letting go of our fear-induced ego state and embracing the higher consciousness of natural spiritual connection.
